Ryder Transport’s drivers – CARTS service provider in Homer, recently completed Community Transportation Association’s (CTAA) Passenger Assistance Safety and Sensitivity (PASS) training. The PASS program ensures drivers have current expertise in passenger assistance techniques and sensitivity skills. PASS is regarded as an industry standard and topics include Customer Service, ADA, Service Animals, Disability Awareness, Bloodborne Pathogens, Wheelchairs Securement and Emergency Procedures.
The drivers completed part of the training online and then CARTS staff provided hands on wheelchair securement training and administered testing required for certification.
